About KLEA

What is Kentucky League for Educational Alternatives?

KLEA was founded in 1991 by the four Roman Catholic bishops in Kentucky;

KLEA is a statewide organization for the parents of non-public school students and their supporters;

KLEA represents the interests of every non-public school student and their parents in the state;

KLEA is located in the state's Capital and works year round to lobby the General Assembly on issues affecting non-public schools.

KLEA is your voice in Frankfort

Unlike political action committees, or PAC's, KLEA does not make financial contributions to political causes nor endorses candidates for elected offices.

KLEA's strength depends on grassroots organizing and parental involvement in the legislative process.
